One day to thoroughly enjoy the sun and the sea off the coast of Sorrento and the cherished island of Capri.
Within a few hours of sailing, you can discover the richest spots of the coast, treating yourself to a beautiful tour of vistas and relaxation.
Our cruise lasts at least 4 hours and starts in any port of the Gulf of Naples and Salerno, or directly from the port of Sorrento, where you can admire the interesting rock formations typical of the coast and the delightful inlets that make the area famous worldwide.
Along the way you will be able to stop for lunch in quaint harbors like Marina di Puolo or Massa Lubrense, or choose a lovely local restaurant on the sea, nestled between the rocks of Punta Campanella.
Then we head toward Capri, approaching the island from the north east, where your view will be interrupted by the terrific “Jump of Tiberius”, a 300 meter cliff. Circling the island clockwise, you will begin at the natural arch, a rocky formation composed of two rock pillars, and continue to the superb White Cave, famous for its chalk white formations.
Before reaching the bay of Marina Piccola, we will go around the mysterious Faraglioni rocks, the three peaks that survived the coast erosion. This is where you can find the famous blue lizard of the Faraglioni, the only place to find this unique lizard.
It’s almost essential to stop at the fantastic Green Cave for an exotic swim. Along the way you will be able to swim in the splendid water of the island followed by a dinner on board or in one of the restaurants along the coast.
Continuing the tour north of the island, you’ll be able to see the well-known Blue Cave, which we can access via small boats (extra cost), but only during the afternoon. The last part of our tour ends at the Marina Grande where a brief tour stop on the mainland can be made.
Parting from the island we return to Sorrento.
An unforgettable cruise in the Gulf of Naples and Salerno to view the irregular coastline from Sorrento to Amalfi.
An unforgettable cruise in the Gulf of Naples and Salerno to view the irregular coastline from Sorrento to Amalfi, which is a great example of how time has left its mark by eroding the rocks into creative formations.
Beyond Punta Campanella the vistas become more extraordinary as we approach Baia di Ieranto, a place of unspoiled beauty where according to legend used to be inhabited by mermaids. The voyage then carries on to the next bay of Nerano.
Nerano is a tiny sea village, famous for its crystalline water but also for its small and friendly inns on the sea where you can taste traditional seafood dishes of Sorrento. Continuing the voyage along the Amalfi Coast, we will take you to a small bay that can only be reached by sea. There, you will find “La Conca del Sogno,” one the most appreciated landings in the Gulf of Salerno.
The coast that separates us from Positano is a miracle of nature: The continual change of the tides in the bay that can quickly change a swim into a walk on a deserted beach.
Arriving in Positano, it is an impressive sight. The tiny village with its dome roofs and colorful houses gives the impression of a theater. It is known for its tiny streets, walkways, and unique structures. Buildings cling to the sloped land, built practically one atop the other. It is true architectural wonder and a must-see!
Once Positano is behind us, we carry on to Amalfi, renowned for its dome in romano-arabo-normano style buildings during the XII century and its paper mill.
Amalfi was the first of the four Italian maritime republics and has an important Mediterranean patrimony that can be seen through both its architecture and its crafts.
The visit to “chiostro del Paradiso”, the cloister of Paradise, can’t be missed, nor the “Grotta dello Smeraldo,” the Smeraldo Cave.
An unforgettable experience among the exotic volcanic islands of Ischia and Procida that can be reached in about an hour of navigation from Sorrento.
An unforgettable experience among the exotic volcanic islands of Ischia and Procida that can be reached in about an hour of navigation from Sorrento.
These glorious islands in the Gulf of Naples offer numerous bays to stop and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Mediterranean sea.
The first stop on our cruise is the tiny island of Sant’Angelo, located on the southern coast of Ischia, a small seaman’s village with exotic, dark sandy beaches.
Touring the island you will be amazed by the sheer beauty: the village of Forio, between Punta imperatore and Punto Caruso, and the Bay of San Montano. The island can be fully explored by car and can easily become an optional stop if desired.
Leaving Ischia we sail to Procida, the smallest and the most tranquil of the islands in the gulf where you can visit the colorful village of “Chiaiollella”.
Baja di Ieranto, Borgo di Massa Lubrense, recommone, Migitliano, La Grotta Azzurra, Il Giardino Romantico.
